Solid State Storage in Massive Data Environments

Effectively using solid state storage means more than just throwing tons of Flash drives at a problem. Depending on your workload, different storage architectures, storage media, or aggregation techniques may provide dramatically different results. This talk will cover broad architectural principles and tradeoffs to consider when deploying solid state storage in massive data environments.

Erik Eyberg is a Senior Analyst at Texas Memory Systems (TMS) focusing on corporate strategy and business development. In addition to his daily responsibilities of business process optimization, strategic planning, and competitive positioning, Erik represents the company at conferences and engages key customers, partners, and analysts. Prior to TMS, he spent a decade running his own computer repair business. Erik received an electrical engineering degree from UT Austin, where he was highly involved with student organizations including the IEEE Student Branch, Eta Kappa Nu, and Tau Beta Pi.
