Invited Track Speaker

Jacob Farmer, Cambridge Computer, Starfish Storage

As the CTO of Cambridge Computer, Jacob has spent nearly 30 years studying the storage industry and sharing insights with both end users and vendors. He is best known for helping early stage storage technology vendors find their first customers. Over the years, Jacob identified a gap in the products available for data life cycle management at scale, which led him to launch a software company called Starfish Storage. Starfish combines metadata-enabled discovery with customizable batch processing, thus allowing all kinds of policy management and orchestration for HPC and institutional scale file collections.
