Dr. Jean-Yves Vet, DDN


Jean-Yves Vet

Dr. Jean-Yves Vet is currently a Senior Developer at DDN Storage. He joined the IME team in 2016. He designed and implemented functional and performance features for IME releases. His interests include SSD endurance, SSD management layer, task and I/O schedulers, data locality, OPA and IB network tunings. In continuous contact with major IME customers, he also helps them getting the best performance and endurance out of their storage systems. Previously, he has worked for research organizations such as INRIA, CEA, and Exascale Computing Research Center. His scientific contributions aim at better harnessing supercomputers embedding heterogeneous computing resources. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Paris 6, a M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech, and a M.S in Computer Science from Institut Mines-Télécom.
